The Masters of the Universe franchise is back for a reboot, taking on a new stance on the 1987 classic movie starring Dolph Lundgren, Frank Langella and Courteney Cox.On June 5, He-Man (Nicholas Galitzine) and Skeletor (Jared Leto) face off in the eternal fight between good and evil. Are you ready? It's going to be epic.
In case you weren't a child growing up when the action figures by Mattel debuted in 1980 alongside the comics, leading to the iconic cartoon and movie series, here's a recap: The conflict stems from Skeletor, who is trying to overthrow He-Man's home planet, Eternia. Along the way, He-Man, who has been living on Earth as Adam Glenn, discovers that he is royalty and can transform into the strongest man in the universe with the help of a magical sword.
The premise of He-Man makes sense because the official Masters of the Universe (MOTU) Day established in 1987 is celebrated on April 28 each year, which falls during Taurus season. The earth sign is determined to win through persistence, much like the intense relationship between He-Man and Skeletor.
Read below to find out which Masters of the Universe character resembles your sun, moon and rising. To paraphrase: "By the power of Grayskull... You have the power!"
Aries: Ram Man

Because the ram is the animal that personifies Aries, it's no wonder that Ram Man is associated with the zodiac. Further, Ram Man is a loyal devotee of He-Man, having his back and fighting for freedom, as the fire sign takes on their ideals. Ram Man uses his strong head to butt things, which is unique to Aries, since it represents that part of the body.
Taurus: Man-At-Arms & Duncan

Tauruses always stand by the causes and those they care about, especially their mentees. The Man-At-Arms, also known as Duncan, serves as He-Man's mentor and father figure in the film, devoting his time to He-Man. The Man-At-Arms shows that he cares for the warrior and wants to help him advance in his pledge to save Eternia, as any steadfast, unwavering and benevolent Bull would.
Gemini: Trap Jaw

Trap Jaw presents two extremes, reminiscent of the twins. On the one hand, he is a goofy henchman, and at other times, an intense cyborg. Trap Jaw bites through anything and grabs at distances (since he has a mechanical jaw and right arm). Gemini represents arms and is known for its chatty nature, so the qualities of Trap Jaw connect with the air sign.
Cancer: Evil-Lyn & Evelyn Powers

Evil-Lyn is second in command to Skeletor, or so he thinks, whom she assists in taking control over the planet. Unlike Skeletor, Evil-Lyn is smarter and uses her intuitive wits to get her way. The zodiac sign Cancer can manipulate matters and utilize their clandestine powers to their advantage, matching Evil-Lyn's actions. She's a venomous viper hiding in the grass who works for a snake.

Leo: King Randor

King Randor is He-Man's father and the ruler of the planet they inhabit. At times, Randor is gentle; at others, he is fiercely defensive. He has a bravado because his moods are transcending and evolving, relating to the sign Leo. He often takes credit for He-Man's victories prematurely, eclipsing his son's triumphs, which Leos can do depending on their temper, arrogance, and the moment's mindset.
Virgo: Queen Marlena Glenn

Queen Marlena Glenn is the mother of He-Man and the wife of King Randor. Known for her patience, kindness and intelligence (on Earth, she was a space pilot and astronaut) — all of these characteristics of Queen Marlena are comparable to the demeanor of Virgo. The sign is empathetic and loving, not only to their inner circle but also to those who need compassion and sympathy.
Libra: He-Man & Adam Glenn

He-Man boasts major energy, parallel to Libra. The bold and daring hero, who leads the battle for justice, is seen for his passion and wisdom. His humble and docile disposition resembles that of the air sign Libra, which holds moral righteousness and fair-mindedness. The "gentle giant" does not want fame and acclaim, but to do good and save the universe (particularly Eternia) from Skeletor's wrath.
Scorpio: Skeletor & Keldor

As He-Man's evil nemesis, Skeletor is responsible for all of the drama. He switches up the energy in a room with a look like Scorpio. Skeletor, who was a human being named Keldor, is a wizard who uses mind control, among other abilities, to get his way from his hub on Snake Mountain. Scorpios seek to exert command and domination, which aligns with Skeletor's initiatives.
Sagittarius: Teela

Teela is the ultimate Sagittarius because she is not afraid of anything or anyone. Fearless and willing to brawl for her convictions, Teela, who is the biological daughter of the Sorceress and adopted daughter of the Man-At-Arms, teaches He-Man how to be a crusader of Eternia. The fire sign is tough to the core and never backs down, like Teela, when they believe in a mission.
Capricorn: Goat Man

Once an obscure character who evolved into prominence over time, Goat Man, who was originally a kidnapping victim of Beast Man, becomes a henchman. He is part goat, so it's literal that the sea goat (the physical archetype of Capricorn) embodies his vibe. On a deep level, Goat Man is merciful, but because he is in an impossible situation, he must be ruthless to survive.
Aquarius: Roboto

Roboto is a Heroic Warrior built by Man-At-Arms. Since Roboto was mechanically engineered, the humanitarian android carries the altruistic Aquarian sentiment. The air sign is an innovator with unique qualities that match with Roboto's one-of-a-kind exterior, which is transparent with a cybernetic heart and wiring. Both wish to attain logic rather than express emotion. They internalize information and data to maintain a cool, detached aura.
Pisces: Sorceress & Zoar

The Sorceress is a mystical being who keeps the secrets of Castle Grayskull and is the metaphysical champion of beloved Eternia. She can transform into a falcon known as Zoar beyond the gates of the castle. Like Pisces, the Sorceress possesses magical thaumaturgy, including telepathy, teleportation, and the ability to create force fields as well as enchanted shields of armor for He-Man and his crew.
