Mickey Rourke shared a cryptic Instagram post on Monday expressing regret over aspects of his relationship with ex-wife Carré Otis.
"All my mistake I was a fool fit so many yrs not her fault at all I just made a blind terrible mistake," he wrote in part.
The former couple met while auditioning for the 1989 movie Wild Orchid and were married from 1992 to 1998.
Mickey Rourke is reflecting on his marriage to his second ex-wife, the actress and model Carré Otis.
In an Instagram Reel reposted on Monday, the Oscar-nominated actor seemed to address how he treated Otis, who he was married to from June 1992 to December 1998, saying it was "all my mistake" and "not her fault." The actors costarred in the movies Wild Orchid and Exit in Red.
"Wrong girlb not her fault all my mistake I was a fool fit so many yrs not her fault at all I just made a blind terrible mistake big regret not of it her fault all my blame🦋🦋🦋🦋🐩🦋🦋🙏🙏🙏," Rourke captioned the black-and-white video, which featured footage from the 1989 film Wild Orchid. "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins plays over the clip.
Wild Orchid was the first film Otis acted in. She and Rourke had met during auditions for the erotic thriller.

Otis alleged that she suffered abuse during her relationship with Rourke. In August 1994, Rourke was charged with one misdemeanor count of spousal battery for allegedly slapping Otis, according to The Los Angeles Times. Rourke had run into Otis, who he was estranged from, at their publicist's office that July.
He pleaded not guilty and was released on $5,000 bail that September. The charges were later dropped.
Otis detailed additional abuse allegations in her 2011 book Beauty, Disrupted: A Memoir. She told Huffington Postin 2011 that her staying with Rourke despite the alleged physical and mental abuse was "very textbook behavior." "That's how abusive relationships go down. There's a certain factor of isolation."

Otis, who became a model and actress as a teenager after dropping out of high school, revealed how her lack of experience contributed to the lowest point of her marriage to Rourke.
"I was really young and confused and boxed in," she said during a 2011 interview on the Todayshow.

"I didn't have the tools and the mentors. You don't have the skills at that point. Usually, you haven't gone through therapy and try to find your way out."
