Legendary actress Marla Gibbs just shared a blunt reminder to tease her latest project, and it was good.

Gibbs has been getting fans hyped for her upcoming memoir, It's Never Too Late: A Memoir, which is set to be released on February 24. The Jeffersons star didn’t hold back from being brutally honest and bold as she promoted her book.

Taking to Instagram, the iconic funnywoman delivered a message in a new video, looking fabulous the whole time. Gibbs, who was born Margaret Theresa Bradley, kicked off the promo with a blunt reminder.

“Hi, I'm Marla Gibbs. And I'm here to tell you that as long as you're breathing, child, and as long as you're still on the planet, it's never too late,” she expressed.

The 227 star went on to reveal a glimpse of what’s coming in her book, including how she got her stage name, Marla Gibbs.

“Well, I guess the book started when I was born. I was born in Chicago. I didn't grow up with my mother. I grew up with my father, which was all right with me because I loved my father. Well, Margaret was named after my mother's sister, her older sister. I felt like Margaret was too mouthy. I wanted something that flowed. So, Marla gives this kind of flowed. Well, it's the truth. If you're still breathing, you have a shot,” the actress stated.

In her caption, Gibbs admitted her book is all about her journey from Margaret Theresa Bradley to Marla Gibbs, and the historic moments along the way.

In my new book, It’s Never Too Late, I’m telling the real story, about how I became the first African American woman to executive produce and star in her own show…and everything it took to get there!!!” Gibbs wrote.

Those looking to preorder the book can do so now on Amazon or at her website. It’s been quite a ride for Gibbs, who continues to do what she loves, acting even at age 94.

Most recently, Gibbs has made appearances on The Upshaws,Will Trent, and Grey’s Anatomy, to name a few.
