Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle is back in action.
Marvel's first *The Punisher: One Last Kill* trailer arrived Thursday with an extensive look at the upcoming Disney+ streaming special.
The last we saw Bernthal's Punisher, he was busting out of a cage in the detainment facility run by Mayor Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) in *Daredevil: Born Again* season 1. Season 2 of that show, led by Charlie Cox, is currently in the midst of its second season sans Bernthal, since his character is off doing what he's doing in this new TV event.
The timeline of *Daredevil: Born Again* season 2 and *The Punisher: One Last Kill* overlap. "As Frank Castle searches for meaning beyond revenge, an unexpected force pulls him back into the fight," a new plot description reads.
Reinaldo Marcus Green directed the special and co-wrote it with Bernthal, having worked together on the *We Own This City*.
*The Punisher: One Last Kill* will premiere on Disney+ May 12, one week after the *Daredevil: Born Again* season 2 finale.
