Michelle Zauner admits she’s had a “really hard” time getting dressed as her baby bump grows.

The pregnant lead vocalist of Japanese Breakfast, 37, spoke with PEOPLE at Chanel’s U.S. launch for Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu on Thursday, Sept. 10, about her personal fashion sense. Zauner, who’s nine months pregnant with her first baby, admits to PEOPLE that styling her baby bump has been “really hard,” and shares that she looks to beauty mogul and singer Rihanna for inspiration.

“It’s really hard and very humbling, honestly,” she says. “You look to Rihanna and just hope for the best, and it never really winds up there, so that was what I tried to do this year.”

“Jpreggie!” Zauner captioned a post of her and Bradley on stage at the 2026 Governors Ball Music Festival in New York.

During the festival, Zauner highlighted her baby bump in a green ensemble that featured a cardigan left open to reveal her stomach.

“This is my third show with a baby bump, and it’s really empowering,” she shared. “It’s so fun to remind myself that I am something beyond just a vessel for life, which is an amazing thing to be, but it’s also really fun to get to cart it around with me.”

Zauner and Bradley tied the knot in 2014.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in April 2025, the Japanese Breakfast musician revealed she and her husband have “well-balanced personalities.”

“We don’t fight very often,” she shared. “I think it’s probably more challenging for him than it is for me because I can be just violently honest with him in this way that I maybe would be more careful with other people’s feelings about.”

Because Bradley is a guitar player in her band, she said she feels “very comfortable telling him things very honestly if I don’t like something that he’s doing.”
