Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin are welcoming a new family member for the holidays.
Hilaria, 41, shared in an Instagram post on Thursday, Dec. 25 that her family of nine celebrated Christmas with a new special pet — a puppy husky named Laila, whom they recently welcomed after the death of their dog Dama.
She shared a glimpse at the new puppy in a family photo, in which she could be seen holding the pup up while sitting beside her husband, 67, and their kids, Carmen Gabriela, María Lucía Victoria, and Ilaria Catalina Irena, Rafael Thomas, Leonardo Ángel Charles, Romeo Alejandro David and Eduardo "Edu" Pao Lucas, in front of a Christmas tree. Alec is also dad to daughter Ireland Baldwin, whom he shares with ex-wife Kim Basinger.
In a follow-up photo, the Dancing with the Stars alum could be seen holding up the puppy, who sported a black and red checkered bow collar, up to the camera. Additional videos and photos showed her children taking turns petting Laila and holding her.

Other photos showed the kids opening their presents and showing off their Christmas gifts, which included a Barbie for María Lucía, 4, and a Bluey toy for Ilaria Catalina Irena, 2. Additional shots showed special family moments during the holiday season, including two of their daughters putting makeup on each other and María Lucía rolling out some dough in what appears to be a Moana costume.
“Merry Christmas y Feliz Navidad ❤️💚❤️💚!,” Hilaria captioned the post. “We send you so much love 🎄🌟.”

“We lost our dog, Dama, in the fall…she was over 13 years and had a wonderful life, but it was still so sad,” she continued. “We can never replace her, but the kids very much wanted a puppy. So my ‘what’s one more?’ personality said yes and we’d like to introduce you to Laila 💜.”
She added that they “love her already” and the rest of their other pets “do too,” especially “Paolo the cat,” who “has adopted her, just as he does with the other pups.” She jokingly added, “The only issue is taking turns holding her 😂 @mycrazypomskys 🦄.”
Earlier this month, the DWTS alum revealed to gurus magazine that she and her husband were considering relocating their family from the Hamptons to Los Angeles.
“We don’t want to raise our kids in the Hamptons anymore," she told the outlet. “We’re considering L.A. It’s all about fresh energy — a reset.”
Alec has also recently opened up about how his kids got him through a challenging time in life during a Dec. 5 appearance on The Adam Friedland Show. He noted that since the 2021 incident on the set of Rust that led to the death of Halyna Hutchins and the trial that followed, he hadn't been "doing very much" and was at home all the time, and added that his kids "saved him."

"I’m 67 years old, I got a 3-year-old baby, so I got a lot of kids at home ... and they saved my life," he said. "You get to the point where you think less about where you get love than where you give love. One of the more frustrating and even painful things in life is [when] you have nobody to give your love to."
"I have a lot of love to give, and I have all these kids around me all day long and I’m not really ... doing very much for the last three and a half years," he added. "I was home all the time, and they saved me. They saved my life."
