Last August, Princess Anne’s son Peter Phillips announced his engagement to Harriet Sperling. “Both families were informed jointly of the announcement and were delighted with the wonderful news of their engagement,” a spokesperson for the couple said. Earlier this week, the couple revealed they would wed on June 6 at All Saints Church, Kemble. Sperling, a nurse, has made numerous appearances with the royals since she began dating Phillips, including making her official royal debut in the carriage procession at Royal Ascot last year.
Today, however, is her first time stepping out with her Easter Day, she joined the royals in Windsor as they walked to St. George’s Chapel. She arrived alongside her fiancée and other members of the extended royal family, including the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children. For the occasion, she wore a polka dot cornflower blue Buelah London set.

Sperling, who was also previously married, has one daughter, Georgia, who did not appear to be at Easter Sunday services.

In an essay for Woman Alive published in 2024, Sperling wrote about her faith as it related to be a single parent. “It is often tough parenting alone but although there is a stigma to endure, God is able to step in and turn it for good,” she wrote. “The unique relationship between a single mother and her child is forged in the fires of struggles and victories. It’s a bond characterised by a love and survival against the odds.”
Later in the essay, she wrote, “As a Christian, I see this bond as a reflection of God’s unwavering love for us. It teaches us about sacrifice, about the depth of love that is costly and willing to give without expecting anything in return. This journey has deepened my faith, teaching me to trust in God’s plan and to find strength in his love.”
