In true sibling fashion, Chris Pratt is gleefully detailing his older brother Cully's mortifying wardrobe malfunction that occurred on the set of their new film, *Mercy.***
The 46-year-old Marvel star recently revealed on national television that Cully, an army veteran and former police officer, completely shredded his pants and was left, well, fully exposed when shooting his brief appearance in the upcoming sci-fi drama.**
"He got to have a cameo in the movie. He gets killed. He gets blown — like, shot in the movie,” the actor explained on Thursday's episode of *Jimmy Kimmel Live*. "So he's wearing a Mercy security outfit and they put the squibs on the pants. The squibs are these little explosive devices that shoot blood out if you get shot in a movie.”

Cully got "all squibbed up" and then crushed his first take, Chris recalled. "He just kills," he said. "He does a great job — gets blasted, lays down, has to be dead for like three minutes in this scene."**
It all went off without a hitch… until they needed to reshoot the scene and Cully was required to don new — much tighter — pants than the pair he was originally wearing. **
"They gave him a size of pants that's like two sizes too small," Chris recounted. "He's like, "Dude, these pants are, like, so tight, bro.' I was like, 'It's fine, it's fine.' He was like, 'I don't know, man. I gotta do this stunt. I gotta fall. The pants are so tight!'"

Chris tried his best to calm his brother's nerves. "I said, 'You're gonna be great. Don't worry,'" he recalled. "'Just remember: When you're dead, you gotta be dead. You can't move around. You gotta be dead the whole time. Try to hold your breath if you can.'"
Turns out, Cully was right to worry about his tight trousers. "He does the scene and boom, boom, boom, he runs back, does the stunt, and he falls in an elevator, and the elevator is going to be closing like this on his head," Chris said, using his hands to showcase the shutting doors, "and as he goes down, [he] rips his pants from, like, the top of his ass crack to, like, above his pubes."
To make matters even worse, Cully was going commando. "And I don't know why his character doesn't wear underwear," Chris quipped, "but he's [getting hit by the elevator doors] like, 'Uhh, my dick's out.'"

Still, Chris commended Cully for his dedication to his big scene. "He stuck to it, man!" he cheered on *Jimmy Kimmel Live*. "He stayed Method and he played dead the whole time."
Directed by Timur Bekmambetov, *Mercy* follows Det. Chris Raven (Pratt) as he is put on trial for the murder of his wife, Nicole (Annabelle Wallis). Inside the courtroom, Chris has only 90 minutes to prove to an AI judge (Rebecca Ferguson) that he is innocent of the crime. The film also stars Kylie Rogers, Kali Reis, Kenneth Choi, and Chris Sullivan.
*Mercy* hits theaters on Jan. 23. Watch Chris discuss Cully's death scene blooper in the clip above.
