Cheryl Ladd has nothing but fond memories of working with the late Farrah Fawcett on Charlie's Angels.

The actress, 74, caught up with PEOPLE at the show's 50th anniversary celebration at PaleyFest in Los Angeles, reflecting on what it was like to join season 2 as the younger sister of Fawcett’s character, Jill Munroe.

When asked if Fawcett gave her any advice, Ladd shares, “No, she didn't.”

Still, she emphasizes that Fawcett was always “warm and friendly." When the icon returned to set, Ladd says she was often "yakking" with the other stars "because they were friends."

"But she was very sweet, very nice. We had several nice roles together and time together. She was lovely,” Ladd recalls at the event on Monday, April 6, held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Calif.

Fawcett, who died in 2009 at the age of 62, still returned as a guest star in seasons 3 and 4. Ladd, meanwhile, starred on the series until it ended with season 5 in 1981.

Ladd was joined by her fellow Angels, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith, at the PaleyFest event to reflect on the show’s landmark anniversary.

Jackson, 77, played Sabrina Duncan for the show’s first three seasons, and Smith, 80, played Kelly Garrett for all five of the show’s seasons.

Charlie's Angels centered on three private investigators who, under orders from their enigmatic but never visible boss, Charlie Townsend, solved cases together using their wits and style.

When recently talking to Woman's World, Ladd remarked at how “interesting" it was that men, both "in the press and in general," were "intimidated" by the show when it first aired.

"They had to put it down in some way," she shared.

"I mean, okay, we were young women who wore bathing suits and that was part of the draw, but they missed the whole other part," she continued. "The part of empowered and highly intelligent women. Women who had to act on their feet and make quick decisions and look after each other."
