You know them when you see them.
You’re working your way through the supermarket aisles, list in hand.
Suddenly it feels more like an obstacle course, as clots of carts are stalled out like plaque in a main artery – only the main artery is where you need to grab elbow noodles or tomato paste.
Paging Distracted Shopper No. 1, yakking with a roommate on Facetime about whether they need more oat milk.
Paging Distracted Shopper No. 2, who had decided this is the best time to catch up on who exactly Jimothy is.
Paging Distracted Shopper No. 3, engrossed in a dispute with their mother-in-law about whether organic sauce is a waste of good money.
Oh, and let us not forget Shopper No. 4, who has unfathomably left their cart in the Italian aisle while just running to the Mexican aisle for taco shells.

In a recent interview with USA TODAY, Cardi B unburdened herself about her grocery shopping pet peeves. The A list star apparently does do some of her own food purchasing, while relying on personal shoppers for the rest.
For us mere mortals, time in the grocery store is often a necessary evil, even if we Instacart or Door Dash here and there.

Is it the broken cartwheels that force you to shop counter clockwise? Customers who tell the cashier about their latest dermatology diagnosis while you’re behind them just buying milk?
